This week I got five new books to add to my To Be Read Libary.

Thank you to Lesley for sending ‘Some Girls Are  by Courtney Summers’ - which I am very excited about reading.

Here is the description from  Goodreads

Climbing to the top of the social ladder is hard–falling from it is even harder.  Regina Afton used to be a member of the Fearsome Fivesome, an all-girl clique both feared and revered by the students at Hallowell High… until vicious rumors about her and her best friend’s boyfriend start going around.  Now Regina’s been “frozen out” and her ex-best friends are out for revenge.  If Regina was guilty, it would be one thing, but the rumors are far from the terrifying truth and the bullying is getting more intense by the day.  She takes solace in the company of Michael Hayden, a misfit with a tragic past who she herself used to bully.  Friendship doesn’t come easily for these onetime enemies, and as Regina works hard to make amends for her past, she realizes Michael could be more than just a friend… if threats from the Fearsome Foursome don’t break them both first.

I picked up my copy of  ‘Forever by Maggie Stiefvater’  from Adsa  for £4 – It is the 3rd and last installment in the Mercy Falls Trilagy

Here is the description from Goodreads

The thrilling conclusion to #1 bestselling Shiver trilogy from Maggie Stiefvater
then.
When Sam met Grace, he was a wolf and she was a girl. Eventually he found a way to become a boy, and their love moved from a curious distance to the intense closeness of shared lives.
now.
That should have been the end of their story. But Grace was not meant to stay human. Now she is the wolf. And the wolves of Mercy Falls are about to be killed in one final, spectacular hunt.
forever.
Sam would do anything for Grace. But can one boy and one love really change a hostile, predatory world? The past, the present, and the future are about to collide in one pure moment – a moment of death or life, farewell or forever.

I bought  ‘Fallen Grace by Mary Hooper’  for Kindle at Amazon.co.uk  for  £2.49

Here is the description from Goodreads

Life has been nothing but unfair to Grace Parkes and her sister. Penniless, the two orphans manage to stay alive—but only barely, like so many on the streets of Victorian London. And Grace must bear a greater heartbreak, having become pregnant from terrible circumstances and then given birth to a stillborn baby. But the infant’s death sets Grace on a new path, bringing her into contact with people who hold both riches and power. A great fraud has been perpetrated on young Grace and her sister, and they are the secret recipients of a most unusual legacy—if only they can find the means to claim it. Mary Hooper’s latest offers Dickensian social commentary, as well as malicious fraud, mysterious secrets, and a riveting read.

I was lucky this week and found  ‘You against me by Jenny Downham’  at my local library.

Here is the description from Goodreads

If someone hurts your sister and you’re any kind of man, you seek revenge, right? If your brother’s been accused of a terrible crime and you’re the main witness, then you banish all doubt and defend him. Isn’t that what families do? When Mikey’s sister claims a boy assaulted her at a party, his world of work and girls begins to fall apart. When Ellie’s brother is charged with the crime, but says he didn’t do it, her world of revision, exams and fitting in at a new school begins to unravel. When Mikey and Ellie meet, two worlds collide. Brave and unflinching, this is a novel of extraordinary skillfulness and almost unbearable tension. It’s a book about loyalty and the choices that come with it. But above all it’s a book about love – for one’s family and for another.

Also on Amazon Kindle this week I got ‘ Beautiful Beings by Kailin Gow’  for £3.58

Here is the description from Goodreads

An ethereal exclusive boarding school with unearthly beautiful students…
Lux, a rebel girl, who has been seeing demons and angels since she was two…
Asher, the bad boy on a motorcycle who sketches angels…
Brax Kingsley who instantly captures Lux’s eyes when she moves into the neighborhood…
And the Hatchett twins whose parents were murdered, leaving them a ridiculous fortune…
All brought together…all part of the puzzle behind the Beautiful Beings.
A fantasy fiction based on mythology and inspired by the author’s experience at age 19
